My pointe shoes??????????????????????????????

Hi. i just got my pointe shoes yesterday and my feet hurt ive wraped them in sports tape that seemed to help the toe thats hurting but the padding i got (pillows for pointes) wore down really fast so what do you suggest?? Ouch Pouches or Gels?? Cuz my mo m said we could get both. but if the padding is not the case then what is??

New shoes ALWAYS hurt until you break them in.
I'd suggest you get the Ouch Pouches, myself. They're thinner, which teaches you how to dance without too much bulky padding, they last longer, and they don't hold sweat like the gels do (gels make me blister like it's going out of style). The less padding you can get away with, the better. Too much will take away your ability to feel the floor, and this literally leads to broken ankles.
Which toe is hurting? They make toe spacers and toe tubes if it's just one area that is rubbing. Ask your teacher to take a look at your foot, and then see if you need a product like that.
In short, pointe is going to be painful for the first few weeks until you get used to the shoes and until your feet get stronger.
Soak your feet in hot water with epsom salts after your class for about 15 minutes every night for about a week (it feels nice, and it will toughen up your skin and make you less blister prone). Gently massage your foot by rolling it over a tennis ball.
You'll learn all these tricks as you go along.
Also know that if your pointe shoes fit perfectly you shouldn't need any padding. The ouch pouches and nothing else are your best bet. You don't want to get used to dancing on a lot of padding because it makes you a bit of a wussy dancer. If the padding is removed you suddenly can't handle being en pointe because you're used to it being ''comfy''.
Pointe isn't comfortable to start. You'll get used to it over time.
